How to Play 3 Patti Game

Objective

The goal of Teen Patti is to win the pot by having the best three-card hand or making other players fold through smart bluffing.

Gameplay

Here's a step-by-step breakdown of the Teen Patti game.

Step 1

One player is chosen as the dealer. Players can either agree on a dealer or pick one by drawing cards, where the highest card wins.

Step 2

Before the game starts, all players must place a mandatory bet called the ante or boot amount. This ensures there is money in the pot to compete for. The players mutually decide the ante before the cards are dealt.

Step 3

The dealer shuffles the deck, deals three face-down cards to each player, and ensures smooth gameplay.

Step 4

After all players receive three cards, the player to the dealer’s left makes the first move. Each player must choose how to play. They can choose Blind, where they proceed without seeing cards, or Seen, where they play after checking cards.

A Blind player places a minimum bet, while a Seen player must bet at least twice the minimum. Players then decide their action, which includes Bet, Call, or Fold. The game continues clockwise until all but one player folds or a showdown occurs, where the remaining players reveal their cards to determine the winner.

Step 5

If you think your hand is stronger than the previous player’s, you can ask for a sideshow. If they agree, both of you compare cards privately. The player with the weaker hand must fold, while the stronger hand stays in the game. If the other player refuses your request, the game continues as usual.

Step 6

When only two players remain in Teen Patti, either player can request a showdown to end the game. Both players reveal their cards, and the one with the stronger hand wins the pot.

Step 7

If more than two players remain and the game has been going on for a long time, any player can request an alternative showdown. In this case, all involved players reveal their cards, and the one with the strongest hand becomes the Teen Patti winner.

Rules for Sideshow/Showdown

In the Teen Patti cash game, if there are more than three players, you can request a sideshow if you think your hand is stronger than the previous player’s. If they agree, you both compare cards privately. The weaker hand must fold and leave the game. If they refuse, the game continues.

When only two players remain, you can keep betting to increase the pot. If you are confident about your hand, you can force a showdown, where both players reveal their cards. The stronger hand wins; you emerge as the Teen Patti winner. If yours is weaker, you lose.
