Common Terms Used in the 3 Patti Game

Before you start playing the 3 Patti Cash game, you should understand the common terms used in the game. These are used in both offline and teen patti online games.

Boot

The boot, also known as ante, entry fee, or pot, is the minimum amount placed on the table (cumulative sum of all the bets placed by all the players) before the dealer deals the cards. It forms the initial pot or the game's starting point and is a forced bet.

Post

In Teen Patti, a post refers to the mandatory contribution made by players who miss the Boot and enter a game after the Boot. It is similar to ante and ensures that there is a minimum amount in the pot before the hand is dealt.

Stake Amount

The stake amount is the amount a blind player bets during their turn for the next player. If a seen player places the bet, the stake amount for the next player is half the amount. However, if the next player is playing blind, the bet is equal to or twice the stake amount.

Call & Raise (Chaal)

Chaal refers to placing a bet equal to the current stake. It is a way to continue playing and stay in the hand without folding or raising the bet.

Sideshow or Backshow

A sideshow is a request made by a player to compare their cards with the previous player's cards. It can only be done if no other player has requested a sideshow before.

Show or Showdown

The show occurs when players reveal their cards to determine the winner. It happens after only two players are left in the game, and the player with the highest-ranking hand wins the pot.

Teen Patti Hands

Teen Patti hands refer to the various combinations of cards that players can have during the game. These include sequences (consecutive cards of any suit), trails (three cards of the same rank), pairs, colors (three cards of the same suit), pure sequences (consecutive cards of the same suit), and high cards.
